Building the NanoXRP
The NanoXRP is a compact version of the XRP robot — smaller chassis, single-cell LiPo battery, and the Cytron NanoXRP board in place of the full-size controller. This page covers the parts that come with the kit and the steps to assemble it.
Nota
The NanoXRP is currently only available in select countries outside of the US. In the future, it may be available more broadly.
Hardware Overview
Hardware
Chassis: 3D printed chassis forms the core of the robot.
Wheels and Caster Balls: Wheels mount to N20 motors for motion, caster balls provide minimal ground friction.
Bottom Plate: Used to hold the electronics in the robot, snaps in place.
Battery cover: Protects battery, stabilizes sonar sensor.
Electronics
Cytron NanoXRP Board: Purple PCB is the brain of the NanoXRP robot.
Battery: 100mAh single cell lipo battery powers the NanoXRP.
Motors and Motor Wires: Encodered N20 motors provide locomotion and angle sensing.
Sonar Sensor: Blue PCB allows precise distance sensing.
